After living in Japan and Italy for the first half of her life, Kennedy and her family found themselves settling down on Whidbey Island, Washington. As a teenager, Kennedy always had a niche for doing hair, having friends and family coming to her as their go-to stylist for special occasions. Around 15, she began getting her hair done professionally and became fascinated watching her hairstylist’s techniques. As high school dwindled to an end, she found herself considering the “what if” of pursuing her talents and turning it into a future career, so she quickly enrolled in the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute. There, Kennedy thrived in all the opportunities the school provided and had the chance to attend New York Fashion Week in the fall of 2014.
With the skills of hairstyling, Kennedy knew she could find a home anywhere and soon relocated to Fredericksburg, Virginia to be closer to her family. After almost a year away, Seattle continued to call her name and in August 2016, Kennedy became AFH’s lovable apprentice where she trained under Annie, Jeremy and Lorenzo before becoming a full-fledged hair stylist just one year later. If you haven’t already heard her genuine laugh or felt her awesome head massages when shampooing, then you must not know of her amazing talent and dedication to hair. Kennedy loves creating custom styles that are suitable and flattering for each client based on their hair texture, face shape, lifestyle and vibe.
Kennedy loves doing hair because it not only allows her to help each client see the beauty within themselves and love their hair, but also develop rich relationships with each one and educate them on products, styling tricks, and trends.
Kennedy hopes to one day be an educator for Framesi and to keep learning, growing, and reaching for new goals! She’s one to watch!
